AVMLA's Veterinary Legal Hot Topics

Welcome to the AVMLA's Veterinary Legal Hot Topics Member Meetings — a dedicated forum where members come together to explore timely issues shaping veterinary medicine and the law. Each month, we spotlight a current challenge or emerging trend, bringing in expert perspectives and fostering open discussion among colleagues.

These sessions are designed to:

  • Highlight pressing legal and regulatory developments impacting veterinary practice

  • Provide practical insights and resources for professionals navigating complex issues

  • Encourage dialogue, collaboration, and shared learning within our member community

Whether you’re seeking updates on legislation, case law, or broader policy shifts, the Hot Topics series offers a space to stay informed, exchange ideas, and strengthen your professional network.

AVMLA's Veterinary Legal Hot Topics – What to Expect

We’re excited to continue offering our educational Monthly Member Meetings as a space for learning, discussion, and connection. To keep these sessions valuable for our members, here are a few quick notes:

•             Member Access: Meetings are a benefit of AVMLA membership.

•             Guests: Non‑members are welcome to join us for one complimentary meeting to experience the value firsthand. After that, continued participation requires membership.

•             Recordings: Meeting recordings are available only to members who pre‑register. Guests may attend live but will not receive recordings.

•             Why Attend Live: The best part of these sessions is the real‑time exchange—Q&A, discussion, and networking. Recordings are a backup resource, not a substitute for being in the room.

We look forward to seeing you at the next session!
